Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is a private institution created in 1950 by the Southern Baptist Convention. Situated on the original campus of Wake Forest University, SEBTS offers theological programs, masters programs and graduate degrees.  Its sister school, the College of Southeastern, offers undergraduate study with an emphasis on liberal arts from a biblical or theological perspective.

Beacon’s relationship with SEBTS began back in 2008 with the first redesign of their main website. In an effort to stay current with evolving technologies, SEBTS has partnered with Beacon for periodic updates and refreshes.

In 2014, Beacon worked with SEBTS to update an already mobile-friendly design to include a larger impact area, more effective callouts, an emergency site-wide status message function and expanded underlying CMS capabilities. When it came time for another refresh, SEBTS naturally turned to Beacon.

With this latest update, Beacon performed HTML and CMS buildouts while refreshing the look and feel of the website. Further enhancements include parallax scrolling, a social media wall, and interactive information panels, each contributing to an even better, more current user experience. In an effort to address and expand the school’s audience, links to Spanish and Farsi page versions were also added.

Lastly, in addition to the web development, responsive design, HTML and CMS buildouts, this project also included additional development and design to ensure the site complimented its undergraduate program.
