Texas A&M University - Texarkana
Project Goals
Redesign website for easier use and to attract prospective studentsIn 2015, Beacon helped Texas A&M University-Texarkana launch their redesigned website. The previous iteration of the site admirably served the school's internal informational needs. However, the university required a better recruiting vehicle to attract prospective students, and Beacon was happy to meet the challenge.
Work on a more user-friendly, image-rich redesign began in late 2014. The new site was enhanced with imagery showcasing the campus, faculty, and students, bringing the school's scenery to life online. The clean, updated design balanced a professional look with a friendly, informative atmosphere, and was designed to be easily updated in the Cascade CMS.
The Beacon team guided the university's stakeholders throughout the entire process, including identification of site requirements; development of a site hierarchy diagram (information architecture); wireframes; mockups of custom, responsive designs; and development of multiple custom templates within Cascade.
