    • Parallax Scrolling

Beacon developed 8 responsive templates for the University of Wyoming. One of the features utilized in the template development was the option for parallax scrolling. This design techique allows background images to move more slowly than images in the foreground, creating the illusion of depth and immersion on the webpage. Wyoming's "About Us" page applies parallax scrolling in two sections.

    • Hidden Menu Navigation

The University of Wyoming's website features a "hidden menu" navigation throughout the site. This allows for users to interact with the menu as they need it, while allowing for maximum use of space for content and imagery on both desktop and mobile devices.

    • Web Content Accessibility

Beacon understands that it is essential that websites are accessible in order to provide equal access to people with diverse abilities. Accessibility also overlaps with other best practices such as mobile web design, usability, design for all users, and search engine optimization. We worked closely with the University of Wyoming to ensure that their new site design was compliant, running several accessibility tests throughout the project.
