Data Policy

This policy covers Beacon Technologies, Inc.’s collection, use and disclosure of information collected and managed through its GAFUSION™ product. The use of information collected through GAFUSION™ shall only be limited to the purpose of providing the services for which Beacon Technologies has been engaged by the Client.

Beacon Technologies takes its clients’ data privacy extremely seriously, and considers it an essential part of commitment to corporate integrity and responsibility to ensure that Personally Identifiable Information and Confidential Information, is safeguarded, kept secure, and never used for purposes other than those which were explicitly stated.


For the purposes of this Policy:

a) “Personally Identifiable Information”, or “PII”, is defined as any piece or collection of information or data that can be used to identify an individual, or can be related, whether processed or unprocessed, to an individual to find personal characteristics, preferences, or other private information which would reveal their identity;

b) “Confidential Information” is defined as any piece or collection of information or data that could reveal commercially or personally sensitive information about an organization, corporation, business, or individual which, if revealed, could cause irreparable harm to that organization, corporation, business, or individual.

c) A “Client” is defined as the business customer of Beacon Technologies that uses GAFUSION™.


GAFUSION™ does NOT extract data from the Google Analytics servers or data storage systems. However, GAFUSION™ does insert data into Google Analytics in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and therefore does not contain personally identifiable information. Beacon Technologies, through itsGAFUSION™ product, does not attempt to make, has not made, and will never make modifications that would enable Google Analytics to collect any such information. Google Analytics does not collect any Personally Identifiable information by default. Google Analytics collects the Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses of computers or Internet connections used by visitors to websites on which Google Analytics has been installed. Google Analytics does not reveal or expose the Internet Protocol addresses of visitors to the owners of the website on which Google Analytics is installed.


GAFUSION™ collects some personal information from its Client websites and data files per the terms of our Client’s respective data privacy policy with their customers. In other words, GAFUSION™ does NOT collect any other data except what is provided to, and handled by, our Client’s websites and/or standard in-store, administrative processes. Email address and phone number are transmitted to, and stored within, the GAFUSION™ database for use in its algorithm and process for matching online activity to offline transactions provided by the Client. During this process, GAFUSION™ utilizes data from Google Analytics cookies on the user’s browser to facilitate the matching process, but in full accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.


Beacon Technologies maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of all information that we maintain. For data transmission, SSL is always available for use. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.
