Beacon Technologies Brings On New Account Executive
Beacon Technologies announced today that Jessica Knight joined the team as account executive. Knight brings almost 10 years of sales and marketing experience to the Greensboro-based website development company which specializes in ecommerce and creative website design, Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics and Google Website Optimizer, content management systems, hosting and custom software development.
Beacon President Mark Dirks is excited about the new ideas Knight brings to the table for current and future clients. "Jessica isn't a typical techie. She has developed results-driven marketing strategies that integrate web, advertising and public relations for several creative agencies and corporations in North Carolina," said Dirks. "Clients will like her because she speaks their language not computer scripting, and she knows what they'll need before they have to ask which can save valuable time in the web development process."
Knight, 31, is eager to learn more about search engine optimization from her new teammates. "I've always been a big fan of Beacon's culture that encourages innovation," said Knight. "I don't think enough people know that when you google the term 'web development' that Beacon comes up fourth out of all the other web companies in the world. Now it's my job to tell them and show why."
Knight graduated from the University of South Carolina, and is best known for the nightlife column she wrote in the News & Record's GoTriad, and marketing work done while at The Business Journal, Senn Dunn Insurance and The Woodbine Agency. She has been honored twice by the Tar Heel Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for "Outstanding PR of the Year," and in 2005 was deemed one of the "Forty Leaders Under 40" by Dick Broadcasting.
