NC: New Loyalty Pgm for SportsNuts

April 2007

After significant growth in online sales since 2004, SportsNutShop.com officially launched its new frequent buyer program today, called “GoNuts”. “The rewards program has several unique features that will make it very attractive to online shoppers,” says Mark Dirks, the company’s President. “Not only do customers earn points for registering and purchasing sports merchandise, but the point value can increase at any time.”

In the top right hand corner of every web page is the GoNuts multiplier, ranging from 1X to 10X, such that points can be worth 1 to 10 times their value. Dan Zerbs, SportsNutShop’s General Manager, points out that this concept does two very important things. “We reward our customers for purchases and we give them a reason to stay engaged with the site, checking multipliers regularly. They can use these points at any time to save money on NASCAR, NFL, College, NBA, NHL and MLB merchandise. We also notify our registered customers when the GoNuts multiplier increases…so they will know the best day to use their points!”

After opening its warehouse in Greensboro last November, SportsNutShop.com expects to have over 30,000 products available by the end of the summer for NASCAR, NFL, NCAA, MLB, NBA and NHL fans. Customers who sign up for the program by the end of April will receive 200 GoNuts points just for registering, worth $2 to $20 toward future purchases, depending on multiplier. In addition, customers receive one point for each dollar they spend.

“We have really worked hard to create a good shopping experience for our online customers,” says Dirks. “With so much competition out there, we want customers to come back for the right reasons…good service and fair prices. Plus we believe this program will help customers save even more during the holiday shopping season later this year.”

SportsNutShop.com is an online retail store with a huge selection of officially licensed merchandise for NASCAR, NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA, MLB and College sports fans. The site allows customers the ability to search for products based on their favorite teams and drivers across all 6 sports areas.
