NC: New Search Engine Marketing Pkgs

July 2006

Beacon Technologies has introduced its new Search Engine Marketing Packages to provide comprehensive search engine optimization (SEO) and paid placement, or pay-per-click (PPC), services. The four new packages are designed to effectively support all types of businesses that understand the value and time required to deliver outstanding results. The new strategy is based on the following facts and trends within the search engine marketing industry:

(1) Natural Placement (“Organic”) is slowly becoming a function/component of web site design. A totally “white hat” SEO strategy is really about the construction of the site and content pages, the length of time the site has been in existence, the number of inbound links, and applying the rules dictated by the search engines (requiring continuous research).

(2) Managing PPC effectively requires a significant amount of time for analysis & tuning, especially now that MSN has started its own PPC program, divorcing itself from Overture. Most companies now realize that they must have a PPC program for sufficient internet marketing coverage, and because it is much more cost effective than traditional marketing. An effective PPC program requires near-daily management which includes analysis of results, bid management, ad management, and communication with the customer.

(3) Many SEO companies are now being much more selective about their customers. Many of our competitors are charging monthly retainers as high as $5000. Obviously this is for larger firms, but the primary reason is that it simply takes significant effort and attention to deliver top results.

(4) The ratio of clients to each search engine specialist must be small in order to produce optimum results and provide sufficient time for communication & reporting.

Effective August 1, 2006, Beacon will be offering 4 different search engine marketing packages:

  • Premium eCommerce Marketing Package
  • Standard eCommerce Marketing Package (under 5000 items)
  • Comprehensive Lead Generation Package
  • Basic Lead Generation Package (Small Business)
