Beacon to Develop Multi-Store CMS Prototype

September 2005

Beacon has been hired by a leading furniture manufacturing company to develop a standard prototype website for its retail stores. The template-based model will be developed under content management software so that the corporation can (1) effectively present a standard design & brand across all stores, (2) quickly publish new information and features to each store site, and (3) give the retail stores the ability to self-manage regional and store-specific information.

“They are making full use of the CMS model & features, whereby the site is managed effectively at BOTH the corporate and local levels,” says Mark Dirks, Beacon’s President. “Each retail site wins big by getting a professionally designed website, state-of-the-art CMS software, local & regional search engine marketing, and industrial-strength hosting.”

The prototype is expected to be complete during Q4 2005 with the store sites being scheduled for implementation in early 2006.
