Technicon Site Goes Live
Beacon Technologies announces the launch of the redesigned web site for Technicon Industries, Inc. a leading industry provider of quality laminate and composite solutions for noise control, vibration damping and cushioning to Industrial, Marine and Specialty Products markets.
In addition to a sharp new graphical look and feel, the site was launched in mid December with additional content and expanded functionality that allows registered visitors to access and view technical documents that are in PDF format and stored within a Technical Reference Library. The Library is divided into three areas of Sound Absorption, Vibration Damping and Sound Transmission.
Technicon wanted the ability to track registered site visitors for follow-up, which is enabled through the new design. In addition, Technicon wanted to create, edit and delete News & Events articles and Reference Library documents. Project Manager and Usability Director Margery Kiehn noted how Beacon met Technicon’s goals. “Along with the enhanced information architecture and expanded content that is apparent to site visitors and enhances brand identity for Technicon, we were pleased to also provide additional functionality “behind the scenes” – putting Technicon in the driver’s seat to administer its own Technical Reference Library and News & Events. This affords Technicon full control over what appears within these sections of the site, while still benefiting from the secure hosting environment provided by Beacon.”
