New BeCommerce 3.0
Beacon Technologies announced the release of its BeCommerceTM 3.0 software today. Powerful marketing components have been added to both the Basic and Advanced versions that will enable online store owners to quantify the return on search engine marketing and promotional email campaigns. As the ecommerce marketplace becomes more competitive, businesses find it critical to track which marketing efforts are working and which aren’t. Companies can then accentuate the positive results and correct less effective campaigns.
Beacon’s BeTrackerTM module captures information from referring Search Engine Marketing campaigns (both optimization and pay-per-click) and stores it with the order data. Online store owners are then able to track orders directly to the key phrase and search engine that introduced the visitor to the web site. As a result, greater emphasis and funding can then be focused directly on the key phrases that produce revenue qualified leads. “Software alone doesn’t make eCommerce successful. The new release also contains the PromoManager module, which provides extensive flexibility in managing online promotional offers. Companies can easily setup and manage campaigns that offer free shipping, percentage-based discounts, and/or flat dollar amount discounts. The software automatically includes the value of the offer with the customer’s order. Similar to BeTrackerTM, this module also provides online store owners with the ability to evaluate the conversion rate of each promotion, since the codes are stored with the orders. “Again, Beacon’s objective is to help its customers be successful by providing the tools to easily identify what’s working and what isn’t” says Jim Myers, one of Beacon’s Senior Systems Engineers.
