New Look for ExclusivelyWeddings!
Exclusively Weddings launched its re-designed website, www.ExclusivelyWeddings.com, on August 4th. Beacon Technologies, their technology provider, is proud to make this announcement and according to Beacon’s Senior Project Manager, Tracy Dirks, “Not only did we deliver one of our most visually appealing sites to date, we also integrated new features that truly positions eWeddings as one of the best eCommerce sites on the Internet.”
Exclusively Weddings was one of Beacon’s very first customers and the site has been a tremendous success over the past 3+ years, but it was time for a "facelift". A lot has changed in Web Design and Functionality in 4 years and the Management at Exclusively Weddings recognized the need and value of increasing the visual appeal of the site and enhancing the user interface. Beacon Technologies leveraged advances in technology and a partnership with a graphics firm to deliver the redesigned website..
Earlier in the year, Dr. Margery Kiehn, Beacon Technologies’ Director of Web Design & Usability, performed a Usability Review of the EWeddings.com site and provided recommendations that would “take the site to the next level, specifically to attain improvements in usability, functionality, and most importantly, graphical design”. Sher Silver, Exclusively Weddings Executive Vice President, agreed that the time was right to redesign the site. Although their web sales had sky-rocketed over the past 3+ years since Beacon Technology developed their website, Ms. Silver recognized the importance of keeping the Exclusively Weddings website fresh and up to date to continue to grow and even maintain their current sales levels.
Beacon selected Graphica, a Greensboro graphics design company (www.thinkcreate.com), to work with Beacon’s Web Design Team to develop a new, unique, and creative design concept that would set www.exclusivelyweddings.com apart from the competition. Ms. Dirks credits the relationship with Graphica. “Our teams meshed incredibly well. Their expertise and creativity, coupled with our technical capabilities produced a classy, easy-to-use, and highly functional site. We plan to use Graphica with other high-profile projects not only because we collaborate well together, but because they provide the level of graphics that our eCommerce clients seek.”
Once the design concept was approved by Exclusively Weddings, the Beacon Technologies Development Team engineered the implementation which integrated the new graphical design across the entire website and introduced the functionality enhancements. After several weeks of development and testing, the redesigned site was launched, seamlessly transitioning from the old design to the new. The Exclusively Weddings staff is thrilled with the new design and is excited about all of the site enhancements.
Ms. Silver further applauded Beacon’s efforts, "Thank you so much for such an incredible Web site. It is obvious that you all really cared about producing the very best for us. I never dreamed it would be as fabulous as it is. I find that I can't stop looking at it! I do not know of any site on the Web (and I've seen a ton of them) that is as visually pleasing as this one and that has such attention to detail. I am totally in awe of the volume of work and its quality."
