Beacon Awarded GSA Contract

June 1, 2003

Greensboro, NC (1-Jun-2003) -- Beacon Technologies announced today that it has been awarded a contract for software and engineering services by the General Services Administration (GSA). Known as the GSA Schedule 70 Contract, this award provides a quick and easy contract vehicle for Beacon's government customers who need specialized IT services support.

"This is perfect timing given that the fiscal year for many government organizations starts in the fall." says Beacon's President, Mark Dirks. "As a Small Business, this contract will be important in supporting the major prime vendors that we are currently teaming with for upcoming contracts."

The GSA Schedule Program offers Federal agencies a simplified process for obtaining the latest information technology quality products and services, fast and cost-efficient ordering convenience, and most-favored customer pricing. GSA Schedules also offer the potential benefits of shorter lead-times, lower administrative costs and reduced inventories, including significant opportunities for agencies to meet small business goals, while promoting compliance with various environmental and socio-economic laws and regulations.
