Peaches'N Cream Signs!
Beacon Technologies announces that Peaches'N Cream Childrenswear, an upscale children's apparel retailer, located in Mebane, N.C. has contracted with them to provide its Integrated eCommerce Package. Beacon will not only customize its proprietary eCommerce software to meet PNC’s unique business issues, but also provide Usability consulting such that the company’s products are presented effectively to online buyers.
Dr. Margery Kiehn, Beacon’s Usability/Web Design Director, says, "It's important to focus on the categorization of products so that finding a specific product, or a group of products, is effortless for online shoppers. The technology behind our eCommerce software is sound, such that searching, viewing, and checking out are very intuitive. However, the organization of the actual product information is an often overlooked step when creating an effective online shopping experience."
Along with its software, Beacon will provide the other components of its Integrated eCommerce Package as well: Hosting through its co-location relationship with Time Warner Telecom, ongoing maintenance through its Preferred Client Services group, and Search Engine Marketing to generate traffic to the web site. The new Peaches-N-Cream site is expected to be launched by the end of September, in time for the holiday internet shopping months.
