An Organized Approach
Per the great Yogi Berra, "If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else." Redesigning your institution's website requires a thorough and realistic project plan. Success depends on full commitment to that plan by ALL resources involved.
The approach sounds straight forward, but there's a necessary flow of activities from as the strategy informs design which drives development. From a more technical perspective, this flow starts with data-driven analytics to define your strategy, then moves to the creative graphical designs to visually define the user interface, and culminates with the construction of your new website using powerful web technology to support your vision. At Beacon, we refer to this as our Brains, Beauty and Brawn approach.
Brains: A Comprehensive Strategic Plan is produced based on User Experience Analysis, User Engagement Analysis, Creative Marketing Review & Analysis, Technology Review & Analysis, Competitor Review & Analysis.
Beauty: The visual look and feel of the new website is defined through a Site Content Map, Wireframes and Graphical Mockups.
Brawn: Quality technology, processes and resources are employed to create the new website by building multiple templates, migrating/inserting content, testing thoroughly, implementing the website seamlessly and providing post-launch support.
