Google Analytics Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a free tool that allows you to insert new tags (snippets of JavaScript that send information to third parties) any time without having to wait for the code to be updated.  It eliminates the manual process (and the sometimes contentious relationship between the development and marketing teams) in order to support measurement and marketing needs in a more timely fashion. 

Now, the webmasters don’t always control website tracking, as this task can sit, more appropriately, with marketers.  It’s a win-win as marketers can quickly add, edit or remove tags without needing a webmaster.  At the same time, webmasters and developers can focus on more important tasks.
