Once again, summertime brings new interns to Beacon to gain experience in technology and business and hopefully obtain a competitive edge in their post-college job search.
Ryan Dirks and Marissa Scaramuzzo will be working with Beacon’s Sales Team to identify and market to prospective GAFUSION* customers across the country. They are tasked with building Beacon’s CRM database through analysis & research of targeted multi-channel retail companies using a variety of tools. They will then leverage Beacon’s digital marketing capabilities to generate leads for the Sales Team. Of course, they will also receive valuable mentoring by Beacon’s expert staff over the 8-week internship period.
Ryan is pursuing a Business degree and will be a sophomore at the College of Charleston in the Fall. He attended Louisburg College this past year as a Presidential Scholarship recipient and one of 12 students accepted into their Honors Program. He was named as a Scholar Athlete both semesters, won first place for Emerging Business in the North Carolina Phi Beta Lambda business competition, made the Dean’s List both semesters and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.
Marissa will be attending North Carolina State University in the Fall, pursuing a degree in Engineering with a Computer Science intent and was selected for the WISE Village (Women in Science & Engineering). She won the National Beta Club Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude as a National Scholar and member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
GAFUSION is Beacon’s newly released SAAS product that brings in-store transactions into Google Analytics, alongside online activity.
